RFTiming uses the IPICO Tag Timing system with a custom timing software. This is the same timing system used to time BolderBOULDER & the largest 8K in the US, the Shamrock Shuffle in Chicago, the last two years.

We chose the IPICO Tag Timing System because it offers the latest technology in timing and tracking solutions—from tags, mats, readers and software, to a variety of real-time communication options.

IPICO Timing Tags are a small, extremely lightweight card (about 1” x 2”) that is tied flat to your shoe. These tags are not disposable and need to be returned after the race. When worn across the timing mats the tag sends a signal over and over to the “reader” that stores volumes and volumes of data to be managed and communicated. Aren’t you glad you asked???
